We’re on the downward slope of this week. Let’s start off today with an adorable sketched bunny reminding us to have a good day.
I started off with the large stitched rectangle from Unity Stamp Company’s Scallops & Rectangles nesting dies and stamped the image from the Good Days set using Gina K Designs Amalgam Jet Black Ink (the link is to Obsidian Amalgam Ink as that is the current black amalgam ink).
As with most of my other cards this week, I decided on simple coloring for this sweet little scene with Prismacolor pencils.
I added one of the sentiments from the stamp set at the top of the image, and then the image sat for a bit until it decided to tell me what background paper it wanted. I dug into my Unity paper pack stash (of which there are a ton unopened) and decided the Bohemian Dreams paper pack had colors that would work great with this card. I chose a coral-orange page with script on it and cut it to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I think the script adds just enough extra interest, and I love that it was all done and I didn’t really have to think about it.
Card No. 2 today has the sweetest little bunny. He seems a little sad to me, and I really just want to hug him.
I started out with the large stitched tag from Unity’s Make a Tag die set. I stamped the bunny from Unity’s Lil’ Wee Bunny stamp set.
I colored this little guy up with Prismacolor pencils. I took down the white using Simon Hurley Cookie Dough Ink.
I couldn’t decide what kind of sentiment to put on this one. The sentiment in the set was just too large for my tag. I moved on to choosing a paper pack for my background layer. I chose a vertical stripe from Unity’s Yuletide Plaid paper pack. I cut it to 4 x 5 1/2 and glued it to a kraft card base.
I finally decided that this little guy isn’t sad, he’s just very sweetly saying “thank you.” I chose a “thank you” sentiment that would fit at the top of my tag from Unity’s Tuxedo Bunny stamp set.
Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of two gifts from Unity that I have to give away this week. Each gift is $20 in store credit on the Unity Stamp Company website. I will be drawing two names using a random picker at the end of the week from those who comment.
