Ah February . . . the Love month. Our sketch this month comes from Viva La Verve through Pinterest. I chose Love for my theme because it’s February – duh. And I chose Elegant as my style.

Since I knew I was going to stick to the sketch for the most part, I started out digging through paper packs in my craft closet to find something I considered elegant. I found “Posh & Pink” by DCWV. I have no idea how long this pad has been in my stash, but when I flipped through it, I knew it was the one I was looking for.

I started pulling papers and cutting my elements for the sketch. I chose a black card base (and started gluing before taking my picture of all the cut elements). I added in a second circle element to the sketch. I used 2 1/2″ and 1 1/2″ circle punches from EK for my circles. I used the smallest hearts from Unity Stamp Company’s Dashes and Frills Hearts and Stitched Up Heart die sets. I cut my white inside panel with Unity Stamp Company’s Scallops & Rectangles nesting dies. I used the larger of the two rectangles.

I used VersaFine Clair ink in Morning Mist to stamp a sentiment from Unity Stamp Company’s “No Remedy for Love” sentiment kit from January 2015 on my inside panel, and then just started layering up the elements on the front.
