Growing in Unity – Day 5

I can’t believe it is all ready Day 5 and my GIU week is at its end. To wrap up my week of Pooh, I decided to use Unity Stamp Company’s Winnie the Pooh: Merriest Time set and coordinating die to make a sweet little Christmas card.

I started by cutting out out the image shape and then stamping the image in Gina K Amalgam Black ink.

Next I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers. For Pooh, I used GY2 and GY1. I used DR4 and DR2 for Pooh’s hat, and DR4 for the tree ornaments. I used AG4 and AG5 for the tree. The honey is GY4, and the honey pots (from left to right) are colored with TN6, TN2 & GY4, and DR1. I used TB1 and TB2 for the presents with DR4 for the ribbons. For the star on top of the tree, I used gold Wink of Stella. The tree pot is RB2 and RB4. The grounding is TN8 and TN6.

Next I chose some coordinating patterns from Unity’s Festive Christmas paper pack, a piece of black from my stash, and layered them up on a white card base. I used a piece of gold sparkle washi tape from my stash to cover the seam of the patterned papers.

I then added the colored image, popped up on foam tape for a little dimension. I added the “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the stamp kit to the front and stamped the inside with the “Seems to me, it’s the merriest time of them all.”

This is an adorable stamp set and perfect for sweet Christmas cards.

Don’t forget to leave a comment on each GIU post for your chance to win one of two $20 store credits to Unity.
