We are sticking with sketches this round. Our June sketch is a “Tall & Skinny” sketch from Mojo Monday found on Pinterest. I decided I would make my cards this month mini slimline cards. My theme this month is “thinking of you” and my style is “artist’s choice.”
I started by cutting 12×12 white card stock down into 6×6 squares and then scoring at 3″. I also decided I wanted to keep this pretty simple and try to make the sketch a single layer card.
I used wide Post-It tape to mask off the back side of my card base since I knew my stamping would go over my score line. I also used thinner Post-It tape to mask off the vertical rectangle element of the card.
I stamped my “colors” using Gina K Designs Color Companion Ink Cube Set – Orchid and then sketched in my rectangle element using a black marker pen. I used one of the “brushstrokes” from Tim Holtz’s Brushstrokes stamp set (Stampers Anonymous CMS293).
I used Tim Holtz’s Note Quotes stamp set (Stampers Anonymous CMS463) for my sentiment.
Hope you like the final mini slim-line.
