We are back from our holiday hiatus! This month’s sketch is from cardztv.blogspot.com (Sketch #48) brought to us through Pinterest. This sketch just screamed modern birthday to me.

I went to Pinterest to search for modern color palettes. Of course, the palettes were geared toward painting your home, but I still found one that I liked.

I chose a gray card based and then cut all the other elements from paper in my stash.

Next, I chose the outside sentiment from Unity Stamp Company’s Itty Bitty set called “Party Party Party.” It fit perfectly on the 2 1/4″ square on the front. I used VersaFine Clair Nocturn ink to stamp both the outside and inside sentiments.

For my inside sentiment, I used Scrapbook.com’s “Happy Birthday” stamp set, which has a lot of large, modern font birthday sentiments.

Next up . . . a lot of glue! I started adhering all of the layers to the front of the card based and ended up with a fairly masculine, modern birthday card. Masculine cards are always needed in my stash, so I’m very happy with the way this turned out.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my process. Any links in this post are not affiliate links.
Beautiful as always!
